At TESEN SHARE HOUSE, we call every Wednesday “HOME GROWN Wednesday”, a day when TESEN staff visit and check on our share houses.
This initiative is more than just routine inspection or facility checks. It began as “a small step toward making both the house and the people who live there even better.”
It’s still a new and modest effort, but we hope that someday it will naturally become part of TESEN’s everyday culture. With that in mind, we will continue to build HOME GROWN Wednesday, week by week.
Caring for Our HOME
We regularly check the building, facilities, and shared spaces to find and address small issues before they grow. We also check the stock of cleaning tools and daily supplies to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment at all times.
Supporting Daily Life
Casual chats and small consultations with residents are also an important part of HOME GROWN Wednesday.
“Could you help me move some larger furniture?”
“Can you check if my Japanese is correct on my résumé?”
“How do I send my luggage to the airport?”
“How do I change my address, set up a phone number, open a bank account, etc.?”
By listening closely to these small requests, we aim to be someone residents can rely on — someone who helps them feel at ease in their daily lives.
Making Wednesday the Day We “Grow HOME” at TESEN
Taking care of our properties means taking care of the life that happens within them. And residents’ smiles give us motivation and joy as staff. Small acts of care build up to create warmer, more comfortable living.
We are still on the way, but through this weekly time, we hope to shape in a TESEN-like way a culture where everyone grows HOME together. That is the meaning behind HOME GROWN Wednesday.
