I’m writing this novel for those who are wondering.
It’s a fictionalized version of non-fiction.

I hope that the wonderful things that happen in a share house will reach as many people as possible.

The share house is very busy with Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s.
Anyway, since moving into a share house, I’ve become more sensitive to everyday events and occasions.
Setsubun, Hanami, Tanabata, Halloween.
I just want to make it into some kind of event and enjoy it, but I do my best to enjoy it.
When I lived alone, I was not a big fan of events.
In the past, I think I would have given a cold stare when I saw the announcers talking about events on the morning news.
Now, however, I’m always on the lookout for something to celebrate.
In addition to the usual events that occur in a share house, there are also the birthdays of share mates.
In this house of 30 people, we celebrate someone’s birthday once every 12 days.
We celebrate, are celebrated, and eat cake once every week or so.
I can’t deny that I’m a very happy guy.
Share mates whose birthdays fall on the same day are celebrated together.
It reminded me of a scene I once saw on TV where two siblings with close birthdays share half of a cake together.
We’re a big family, too.
We’re not that far apart in age, but we all have our own characteristics.
Some are like fathers.
Someone who looks like a mother.
Big brother, big sister.
Everyone’s sister or brother.
The ones who are loved are the ones who are like younger sisters and brothers.
A fatherly person who can be counted on when something happens.
What kind of character am I?
How am I seen?
Personally, I think I’m the kind of person who is everyone’s mother, but I also long to be everyone’s sister.
One of my share mates drew a picture of us all gathered together during the Corona disaster.
I have it hanging in my room.
This year is coming to an end.
There have been many things I can say to people, and things I don’t want to say.
The family photo hanging on my wall will never fade.
