I follow the anomaly as people pour out of the gray building and are sucked into the tiny hole.
As usual, I wait three minutes for the mass of steel.
It arrives on time.

They arrive not even a minute late.
If a train is one minute late, an apology is immediately broadcast over the in-house announcements.

When I come home, someone says, “Welcome home!

When I get sick, someone brings me food.
That’s not normal.
When I come down to the living room, food is ready.
That’s not normal.
My life is full of unusual things.
But I wonder how long this life will last.
I wonder if I will ever be able to return to a normal life after being surrounded by so many unusual things.
Will there ever come a day when I can live alone again?
I hope my unusual life will continue without aging.
I sound like a middle-schooler talking nonsense.
I’ll try to enjoy my unusual life a little more.
